Baking with kids: Strawberry Jam Drops



I hope that everyone gets a chance to come see the epic chefs at Village Montessori making their own snacks. Everything tastes better when you make it yourself. Come see what these tiny chefs are making at school today!

Ingredients:

1 stick of butter

1/3 cup sugar

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 egg

2 cups flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

1 tablespoon milk

2 tablespoons strawberry jam

Instructions:

In a large bowl, beat butter, sugar, and vanilla until creamy.

Add the egg to the mixture and mix until well combined.

Add flour and baking powder to the mixture. Next add the milk and stir until combined.

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F. 5. Line baking trays with foil.

Roll dough into small balls and place on baking trays.

Slightly flatten each ball and use thumb to make a small indentation in the center of each biscuit.

Fill each indentation with 1/4 teaspoon of jam.

Bake for 10 minutes.

Allow to cool for 5 minutes and then enjoy!
